We had the pleasure of attending a special screening of Chosen Family at the Burns Court Cinema in Sarasota, followed by an engaging Q&A with Heather Graham. In her directorial debut, Heather also wrote and starred in this heartfelt story about a yoga teacher (Ann) trying to find inner peace despite having a manic family, a miserable dating life, and an inability to say no that keeps her busy trying to fix everyone else’s problems.
This inspiring event, sponsored by PNC Bank, benefited the Creative Empowerment Program (CEP) through Caring for Children Charities and Florida Winefest & Auction, both nonprofit organizations dedicated to expanding creative education opportunities.

Creative Empowerment
Program (CEP)
Semkhor & Florida Winefest & Auction, Inc. and Caring for Children Charities, are collaborating on THE CREATIVE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM which is dedicated to providing Master Classes, Seminars & Professional Certifications, taught by industry-recognized artists and experts, to aspiring local students and creators. Many people cannot afford the educational opportunities provided by traditional four-year programs due to time or financial constraints. Our goal is to provide relevant, inexpensive, and rapidly delivered education, that resuIts in jobs, attracts business, and can keep pace with major technological developments of A.I, Blockchain, and Cloud-Based production and distribution.
The Creative Empowerment Program (CEP), in partnership with the Sarasota School System and local creators, is developing an accredited program that equips students and aspiring creators with industry-relevant skills in Digital Arts. This initiative emphasizes hands-on training in emerging technologies like Al, Blockchain, and Cloud-Based production systems, empowering participants to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By fostering these advanced capabilities, the CEP positions Sarasota as a hub for cutting-edge digital media production, attracting new businesses and creative talent to the region. Florida Winefest & Auction, Inc. and Caring for Children Charities is a 501 (c) (3) not-for profit organization established in 1991. This is a volunteer-based organization with no employees or offices and very little overhead, thus enabling more students to benefit from the CEP initiative. Every contribution to the CEP directly expands course offerings as an opportunity for local creators. Whether through a small donation to purchase computers or software, or a sponsorship, your support makes a difference in shaping the future of local students, many of whom wouId never have these opportunities. ☐
