AFWC’s One Thousand Bottles

Presented by, FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management

The American Fine Wine Competition and FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality present the 17th annual fundraising event ONE THOUSAND BOTTLES, SIPPING THROUGH AMERICA.  It benefits End Childhood Hunger and the Joel Feignheimer Endowment Fund. This incredible wine-tasting event will take place at FIU Chaplin School on the patio Sunday, January 14th, 2024, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

The wines being poured at ONE THOUSAND BOTTLES are from AFWC’s The Invitational which takes place from January 13-15 at FIU. The Invitational is the largest and most exclusive invitation-only judging in the United States. Volunteers for The American Fine Wine Competition are students of hospitality at FIU Chaplin School. These students make up a team of individuals who are not only devoted to the hospitality industry, but also are passionate about wine.  These are our “Wine Angels.”

ONE THOUSAND BOTTLES will offer the opportunity for attendees to taste more than 700 award-winning wines. Local restaurants will serve special dishes to pair with the wines, and there will be a silent auction and a raffle consisting of prize baskets of fabulous wines. Music by RC Music will set the stage for an extraordinary party.

Co-founder and President Shari Gherman said, “At AFWC, we look for the very best wines the country has to offer.  Most of the wines are from small, family run wineries and are not easily found.  Yet, some will be very familiar.  We look forward to sharing these beautiful wines with the wine-loving public.”
